This Privacy Policy describes how the Taplog mobile application (“Taplog”, “we”, “us”) handles information. Taplog is a personal logging tool for caregivers. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Taplog stores care logs and related notes (for example feedings, sleep, diapers, or other entries you choose to record) in local storage on your device. This information stays on the device unless you export, back up, or share it yourself.
You do not need to create an account with us. Without a family, Taplog does not send your baby care logs, or anything else, to servers operated by us.
If you use the optional backup feature, Taplog can create an encrypted backup file that remains under your control (for example saved where you choose on the device or shared by you). We do not host that backup on our servers. You decide whether to create, store, restore, or delete it.
Android and iOS can back up app data to the account you use on the phone (Google backup on Android, iCloud Backup on iPhone) when you turn that on in your device settings. If it is on, Taplog's local logs may be included, so a new phone can restore them. That backup is run by Google or Apple under their own policies, is tied to your account, and is not accessible to us. On Android, Taplog leaves its unlock cache out of that backup, so a restored phone asks Google Play again. You can turn system backup off in your device settings.
If you create or join a family, up to 4 phones share the same care log. A phone joins by scanning a QR code shown on the founder's phone in person; that code carries the family's encryption key, which never reaches our server.
End-to-end encryption: logs, edits, deletions and the names you give in the family are encrypted on the phone (AES-256-GCM) before they leave it. Our relay, run on Cloudflare as our service provider, stores and forwards these encrypted packets only. We cannot read them.
What the relay can see: a random family id, a random id for each phone, a hash of each phone's relay password and of invite codes, the time of requests, and the encrypted packets. When the founder unlocks Taplog, the relay checks the Google Play purchase once and keeps only a hash of the purchase token. Once a day it asks Google Play which purchases were refunded; if the founder's purchase was, family sync stops and only that hash is kept so the refunded purchase cannot unlock sync again. It does not receive your name, email, phone number, location or contacts.
Retention: a packet is deleted as soon as every phone in the family has received it, and after 30 days at the latest. The founder can delete the family at any time, which deletes everything on the relay immediately; a member can leave. A family with no activity for 90 days is deleted automatically. A phone removed by the founder stops receiving logs and deletes the other phones' logs from itself.
In a family, Taplog can notify this phone when another phone adds a log. You can turn this off on each phone under Settings → Family. To wake the phone, Taplog uses Firebase Cloud Messaging, a Google service: the phone gives our relay a messaging token, and after another phone sends logs the relay asks Google to deliver a message that only says "sync". The message carries no logs, names or other content. The phone then syncs with the relay, decrypts the new logs and writes the notification text itself. Google therefore sees the messaging token and when a message is sent, never what was logged. The token is deleted from the relay when you turn notifications off, leave or are removed from the family, or the family is deleted. Firebase Analytics is not used.
The camera is used only when you choose to scan an invite QR code. Taplog does not save or upload the camera image.
On Android the one-time unlock is purchased and confirmed through Google Play. On iPhone it is purchased and confirmed through the App Store. When you open Taplog, the app asks that store whether this install is unlocked. Taplog is free for 7 days from the first log; the start of that trial is stored on your device and is not sent anywhere. Without the unlock after the trial, adding or changing logs is locked, while viewing and exporting your logs stays open. If the store cannot be reached, a confirmation from the last 14 days still opens Taplog. Without a confirmation in that window, the free-trial rule above applies.
That check does not include your baby care logs. Payment details stay with Google or Apple under their own policies. Taplog does not receive your log contents through the purchase.
Google, Apple, and your device operating system may collect standard technical or diagnostic information according to their policies (for example crash reports or store analytics if enabled). That collection is controlled by those providers, not by a Taplog backend that stores your logs.
Taplog is intended for use by caregivers (adults). Care notes about a child that you enter remain on your device under your control. We do not operate a cloud service that collects children’s personal information for Taplog logs.
How to delete your data in Taplog (by Pocket Engineer Labs):
Because logs are stored on-device, you can delete them in the app or by uninstalling Taplog (which typically removes local app data, subject to your device’s behavior and any backups you made). We do not keep a copy of your logs. Family packets on the relay are encrypted and deleted after delivery (30 days at most). A device system backup, if you turned it on, is managed in your Google or Apple account.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date above will be revised when changes are published on this page.

Uçtan uca şifreleme: kayıtlar, düzenlemeler, silmeler ve ailede verdiğiniz adlar telefondan çıkmadan önce telefonda şifrelenir (AES-256-GCM). Hizmet sağlayıcımız Cloudflare üzerinde çalışan aktarma sunucumuz yalnızca bu şifreli paketleri saklar ve iletir. İçeriği okuyamayız.
Sunucunun görebildikleri: rastgele bir aile kimliği, her telefon için rastgele bir kimlik, her telefonun sunucu parolasının ve davet kodlarının özeti, isteklerin zamanı ve şifreli paketler. Kurucu Taplog kilidini açtığında sunucu Google Play satın almasını bir kez doğrular ve satın alma belirtecinin yalnızca özetini saklar. Günde bir kez Google Play'e hangi satın almaların iade edildiğini sorar; kurucunun satın alması iade edildiyse aile senkronu durur ve iade edilen satın alma senkronu yeniden açamasın diye yalnızca o özet saklanır. Adınız, e-postanız, telefon numaranız, konumunuz veya kişileriniz sunucuya gelmez.

Kamera yalnızca davet QR kodunu taramayı seçtiğinizde kullanılır. Taplog kamera görüntüsünü kaydetmez ve yüklemez.
Android’de tek seferlik kilit Google Play üzerinden alınır ve doğrulanır. iPhone’da aynı kilit App Store üzerinden alınır ve doğrulanır. Taplog’u açtığınızda uygulama, bu kurulumun açık olup olmadığını o mağazaya sorar. Taplog ilk kayıttan itibaren 7 gün ücretsizdir; denemenin başlangıcı cihazınızda saklanır ve hiçbir yere gönderilmez. Deneme bittikten sonra kilit yoksa kayıt ekleme ve değiştirme kilitlenir; kayıtlarınızı görüntüleme ve dışa aktarma açık kalır. Mağazaya ulaşılamazsa son 14 gündeki onay Taplog’u açık tutar. Bu pencerede bir onay yoksa yukarıdaki ücretsiz deneme kuralı geçerlidir.
Bu kontrol bebek bakım kayıtlarınızı içermez. Ödeme bilgileri Google veya Apple’ın kendi politikalarında kalır. Taplog, satın alma yoluyla kayıt içeriklerinizi almaz.
Google, Apple ve cihaz işletim sisteminiz, kendi politikalarına göre standart teknik veya tanılama bilgisi toplayabilir (örneğin çökme raporları veya etkinse mağaza analitiği). Bu toplama, kayıtlarınızı saklayan bir Taplog arka uç sunucusundan değil, ilgili sağlayıcılardan kaynaklanır.

Kayıtlar cihazda tutulduğu için uygulamadan silebilir veya Taplog’u kaldırabilirsiniz (cihaz davranışına ve yaptığınız yedeklere bağlı olarak yerel uygulama verisi genellikle silinir). Kayıtlarınızın kopyasını tutmayız. Sunucudaki aile paketleri şifrelidir ve teslimden sonra (en geç 30 günde) silinir. Açtıysanız cihazın sistem yedeği Google veya Apple hesabınızda yönetilir.
Bu Gizlilik Politikasını zaman zaman güncelleyebiliriz. Değişiklikler bu sayfada yayımlandığında yukarıdaki yürürlük tarihi güncellenir.
